About Jacobs Automation
Jacobs Automation has a simple goal: Deliver Ground Breaking

innovation, and with it, we will introduce cost saving technology and
energy efficiency to the automation environment with increased
sustainability.
Keith brings 20 years of engineering and
leadership experience in the packaging, aerospace and software industries
to his role as President of Jacobs Automation. Prior to founding Jacobs
Automation in 2002, he was the Director of R&D at RA Jones & Co., a
leading supplier of packaging machinery. He joined Jones from International
Paper, where he spent 6 years in the Aseptic Packaging Machinery business.
In his last three years there, he led the Advanced Development team. Keith
started his career at GE Aircraft Engines. He gained experience there in a
variety of technical positions, covering engineering, manufacturing, factory
test and field support. During his college years, he worked as a software
engineer.
Keith has a bachelor’s degree in
mechanical engineering from MIT. He is a registered Professional Engineer
in the State of Ohio.
Keith has worked in the field of Linear Motors
since 1996 and is a named inventor on several important patents in the
field.
John is responsible for leading the electronics
engineering efforts for the company.
Prior to joining Jacobs Automation, he
spent 20 years with Texas Instruments and Sierra Semiconductor as an
applications engineer and marketing manager. His last role at TI was to
lead a team of innovators focused on identifying new products and new
marketing strategies. During his time at TI, he taught courses in ASIC
design. Prior to this, he spent 13 years working for several different
companies as an analog and digital hardware design engineer.
John has considerable experience in developing
software tools. He is a named inventor on several patents in the field of
electronics.
John graduated from Auburn University
with both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.
Glen is responsible for directing the companies
software development activities.
He brings 25 years of managing software
development companies to his role as Director of Software Development.
Prior to joining the Jacobs Automation team, Glen founded Jetsoft
Development Co., a company specializing in the development of software
drivers for companies such as Lexmark, Olympus,
Elesys, Dymo and Compaq. He also has managed companies that developed web
technologies and business processes. He began his career in the printing
and packaging industries.
Glen graduated from Northern Kentucky
University with
Bachelors degrees in Organization Management and Economics
Jim is responsible for managing the business
operations, including purchasing, accounting, product assembly, product
testing and facilities management.
He has more than 40 years experience in
industry working for Procter & Gamble, Armco Steel and the Palm Beach
Co.
Jim is a graduate of the Ohio State
University.
Mike is responsible for managing the sales and
marketing function, along with other commercial aspects of the company.
Mike formally worked as the President of the Motion Competency Center
and Berger Lahr Motion Technology – both Schneider Electric
Companies. As President, Mike was responsible for overall revenue and
profit performance of general motion control for Schneider Electric in the United States,
leveraging the world-class brands Telemecanique, Modicon and Berger Lahr.
Previously, Mike worked for Animatics
Corporation. As Vice President, he helped build this unique company
from a regional supplier into a formidable global supplier of motion
control to the automation marketplace. Mike spent several years in Silicon Valley as both a manager and principal of
start-ups specializing in web-tools and e-commerce. His companies
consulted and developed e-commerce for clients spanning the corporate and Silicon Valley community.
Mike has a Bachelor’s Degree in
Electrical Engineering from the University
of Kentucky and an M.B.A from Xavier University.
